Nordic Sport

Nordic Sport springs from the northern part of Sweden, called Norrland. The company is considered one of the world's leading suppliers of athletic equipment. Furthermore, they are becoming one of the world's most successful suppliers of football and ice hockey goals and accessories. The head office is located in Skellefteå and the company has branches in Stockholm and Arvidsjaur and a sister company in Tallin, Estland. 

Nordic Sport was founded as early as 1972 by Börje Österberg. A true entrepreneur, who started his career as a businessman at the age of 11. He put on his skis and started skiing to the neighbours in a small hamlet in the north of Sweden, selling weekly magazines and since he has continued on that course. He built a javelin factory in Arvidsjaur, then he opened a sales office in Skellefteå and finally he went out to sell his products to the biggest events he could find in the world. Börje Österberg has managed to position the company and its products in the largest arenas, and built a fantastic network around the world of athletics, and the story continues. By now the company is well established on all markets. 

In 2005 a new era started as Dennis Österberg entered the company as Sales & Marketing Manager. He was born with business blood in his veins. He has a degree from IHM Business School and has spent much time in the US. For a while he worked for one really successful telecom company as brand manager and developer. When he came to Nordic Sport he started working strategically with the company's brand. This work has resulted in putting the company in a safe position among the world's leading sports equipment suppliers. With his knowledge about strategies and marketing he has lifted the company even more. His talented, and his work with a new logotype, the branding of nordicsport.com has come through very well. All of sudden nordicsport.com is easy to find for new and old clients. Besides the work with Nordic Sport's brand, he has also tried to narrow down the line of products. This makes the company top of the line all the way on their products, equipment for athletics, ice hockey and football.

 
Now it is time to take the development of the company one step further. The company is changing gear and Dennis Österberg will become the new CEO of the company, in addition to that the sales department will continue to grow. Of course Nordic Sport will also continue to deliver quality products to the rest of the world and stay in the front line of developers together with the best athletes in different sports, and they are numerous, one of them is Andreas Thorkildsen - probably the world's best javelin thrower. The company has during the years gained the trust to become total suppliers to many of the largest championships around the world. This work will be intensified and go on. Many events will probably be added to the already long list of honourable clients. Diamond League - DNGalan, European Junior Championship in Serbia 2009 and the African Championship in Kenya 2010. The list is long and will hopefully be even longer.
