This weekend Nordic Sport covered the Swedish National Indoor Championship in Athletics, which was held in the city of Gothenburg. We are happy to report that Melker Svärd Jacobsson, jumping with Nordic poles, came in second place and won the silver medal in the men´s competition. Malin Dahlström and Alissa Söderberg, both jumping with Nordic poles, won the gold and the bronze medal in the women´s event.
Yesterday Ericsson Globe Arena, Stockholm, hosted XL-galan 2011. The Track & Field competition has been running since 1990, in different shapes. 7 World records and 30 Swedish records have been achieved during these years. More then 9500 spectators watched the athletes compete inside the venue, while thousands of people at home watched the competition on TV.

I torsdags startade LG Hockey Games i Stockholm. Ericsson Globe Arena stod än en gång som värd för fyrnationsturneringen, samt för utställningen Arenadagarna. Vi på Nordic Sport fanns naturligtvis på plats som en av utställarna i lokalen Valhall, där gäster fick chansen att träffa oss i vår monter. Min kollega Ola och jag representerade vårt företag och många gäster intresserade sig för våra ishockeyprodukter, inte minst våra målburar som vi stolt kan meddela står på isen under hela LG Hockey Games.

This weekend, Gothenburg hosts a pole vault carneval, in the famous shopping centre Nordstan, in the centre of Gothenburg City. 71 vaulters from 8 contries attends at this popular competition, where shoppers and people passing by offers an exiting sport event in the commercial part of Gotheburg.
Nordic Sport has been present for the first two days and as our representive I have seen a lot of young and talented pole vaulters, a hand full of personal best-results and a great competition in an interesting environment.
