Wow!

What a result! It wasn't exactly what I predicted. Who would have predicted that finish to the CL semi-final between Chelsea and Barcelona after 90 minutes? If you're interested you've probably already read all about it in the papers, but I ask you - one shot on goal? At least I think it'll make for a more interesting final. Chelsea and Manchester United know each other a bit too well from the Premier League for it to have been an open and exciting final. There are a lot of issues concerning the match Wednesday night that will probably be discussed to boredom. I'm only going to pose one question: is it time to scrap the away goals rule? Fair result in London last night or not, is the away goals rule a fair one? Who won from the goalless first leg of this semi-final?

The first semi-final on Tuesday night was a bit of a letdown, especially if you're an Arsenal fan. The match was all but over after 11 minutes (away goals rule again?) but luckily both teams continued to play a relatively open game. Even a third goal for Man Utd didn't stop Arsenal from battling and after they pulled one back from a penalty, I thought anything could happen.

Now we can look forward to an interesting final in Rome.

All the best.
