The track and field season started yesterday with the GP competition in Doha, Qatar.
The Olympic gold medallist Andreas Thorkildsen from Norway  won the javelin competition on quite modest 83,39 m but it was the world leading result 2009.
Thorkildsen used Nordic Airglider carbon for his winning throw. The same javelin as he used for his Olympic victory.
