World Championships in icehockey starts today. How fun is it nowadays? Honestly!

Personally I think that the status of the Championships has been really hurt the last two decades. As NHL Stanley Cup prevents the absolute top icehockey players to attend, the quality past years has been, well....so-so.

However, things can change. I have not yet figured out what I really think about KHL. But there is definately at least one positive thing coming out of the Russian NHL Challenge. The more top players KHL takes, the more top players we will see in World Championships in the future.

Anyway. With or without top players, I will follow World Championships 2009. Hey, it's still athletes!
