Between 24th April and 2nd May there will be a Porsche Tennis Grand Prix
. You are probably wondering why we are writing about this.
Well, it is because we actually have Tennis equipment and we do make Tennis clay Courts, but not like any other clay court. The courts are developed by our long time partner BASF Conica. Here is more information about the court material it self:"Made of clay, the CONIPUR TENNIS FORCE HS surface is almost identical to the clay courts at Roland Garros and will therefore provide the perfect preparation for the Grand Slam in Paris. The spectators can expect enthralling matches with long pulsating rallies and high drama. The tennis court made by BASF in Schaffhausen, Switzerland will be laid by Sportas, a German company based in Olfen. It has been developed by a team headed by Hans-Joachim Schneider.
The sports surface facilitates top performances and helps prevent injuries. Innovative sports surfaces provide training and competitive conditions that are safe and a guarantee for success. After being used for the first time at the 1968 Olympic Games Mexico, the synthetic surfaces now predominate the world over. Today the BASF Construction Chemicals Europe AG, Division CONICA Technology, whose headquarters are in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, are the market leaders in the industry. About 250 running tracks covering an area of two square kilometres, which is roughly equivalent to the size of Monaco, are laid every year.
High quality and reliable products for the laying of sports surfaces in all the world’s climatic zones have been produced and sold under the CONIPUR and CONICA brand names for the past 30 years. The product portfolio includes intelligent system solutions for indoor and outdoor athletics tracks, multi-function facilities as well as sports halls and multi-purpose halls. Products for tennis surfaces, children’s playgrounds, moulding binders, and artificial turf pitches round off the comprehensive portfolio. The experienced BASF team offers expert support, excellent technical service and construction site supervision by experienced application engineers."
