Bislett Games 2010

(Diamond League, Bislett Stadion – Norway. semi-final 100 m men. Asafa Powell, JAMAICA won)

Last friday, Oslo welcomed the athletic world, with great weather and an amazing atmosphere inside the Bislett Stadion. I was there to see some of the world´s best athletes compete against each other for the honor of winning and for the chance to win beautiful diamonds.

Diamond League is a great competition that goes around the world and Oslo was the perfect host. Bislett Stadion was almost sold out and on the stands you could see many former world athletes with happy smile on their faces.

All focus was basically aimed at one special athlete last friday night. The audience and the experts on the stands at Bislett Stadion had enormous expectations on the Norwegian, Andreas Thorkildsen, whom was up against Frydrych, Pitkimäki and many other good javelin throwers. Torkildsen managed to win by throwing 86.00 meters with a javelin from Airglider Carbon. A proud day for Andreas, the Norwegian people and for us at Nordic Sport.

After Bislett Games was finished I personally congratulated Andreas Thorkildsen for the win and he felt joy and happiness to be able to win at his home course.
