Champions League finalists, Barcelona and Manchester United, and Italy's Inter all look to be closing in on their respective titles. Barcelona and Inter both had the chance to lift their titles this weekend but both had to come away from their games with one point. Celebrations will have to be put on hold another week. Barcelona was only seconds away from winning their match at Camp Nou when Villareal equalized. A late goal earlier this week against Chelsea put Barcelona into the Champions League final, now it meant they will have to wait a week for the title. In England, Manchester United regained their top spot from Liverpool after a 2-0 win against local rivals City and need another 4 points from their last three games to be sure. Chelsea came back strongly after their Champions League defeat mid-week with a 4-1 win at local rivals Arsenal.

Shakhtar Donetsk from the Ukraine and Germany's Werder Bremen will meet in the UEFA Cup final on May 20 in Instanbul. Shakhtar went through after a 3-2 aggregate win against fellow Ukrainians Dynamo Kiev while Bremen took a one goal deficit from their home game against German rivals Hamburg to win 3-2 on the night and go through by the away goals rule.
