He compete in Commonwealth Games for Team Wales, where he scored a personal best in the decathlon of 7383 points, coming 6th overall despite being the youngest competitor.

This included 6 individual event personal bests, one of which was a 5.20m pole vault. He won the pole vault by 40cm, and would have placed 6th in the individual pole vault final with this result.
