31,144 tickets sold - a new European record

The current European peak for a club match in hockey was 2007, when 30 076 watched the match between Bern and Lagnau. The figure beats for Frölunda and Färjestad match with 1068 spectators.

- It's really fun that so many want to see the match. I've never experienced anything like this even when we played final, "said Frölunda club director, Mats Ahdrian.

The world record for a hockey match is the match between Michigan State University and the University of Michigan in October 2001 which was seen by 74,544 spectators. The record can fight in the opening match of the Hockey World Championships in 2010 played on the football stadium in Gelsenkirchen in early May next year. Preliminary will be almost 76,000 places.
